COURSE FEEDBACK

The following participants have the following comments about courses Gary have facilitated:

“Gary made his presentation to Dressage Judge Educators and Mentors. As a Mentor I found the presentation to be very professional and interactive.  It certainly raised awareness as to the different learning styles and will assist me greatly when mentoring fellow judges”.

Lesley Sullivan EFA (Equestrian Federation of
Australia) “A” Level Judge

I attended a "Coaching and Mentoring" Workshop
presented by Gary in November 2007.  I found Gary to be very presentable, articulate and knowledgeable.   It made me appreciate the different ways people have of  learning - I had not fully realized this before.   It also made me realize how professional my presenting skills need to be, and how aware I need to be of the group I am working with.  I know I will be a better Judge Educator/Mentor for having attended this Workshop.

I liked the QISEA State team camp. We learnt new things and it was educational.
Gary and Denise (Denise Rogan)  made sure, we had fun doing it. I learnt, how to set goals for myself in my sport, and we did some funny team activities, where you got paired up with someone from a different team, so we got to meet new people.
In the evening we had to perform our line dance for everyone at the camp - ours didn't really work, but we had a lot of fun!
Sophie Stevens (Qld Young Rider)

“Earlier this year I attended the 2008 Australian Youth Olympic Camp in Sydney, where we were lucky enough to have Gary Lung presenting. As an up and coming young rider I found the presentation informative, motivating and beneficial. The presentation certainly made me aware of how important goal setting is. The information I gained at the presentation I will be able to put towards achieving my goals in 2009. I would highly recommend attending a seminar run by Gary Lung.”

Victoria Welch (Member of the 2009 Youth Olympic Dressage Team and Queensland State Dressage Squad)

"This year I attended a workshop with Gary as a part of a Youth Olympics clinic.  Having never met Gary, I was not sure if it would be one of those usual workshop that make you fall asleep. I was pleasantly surprised and apart from learning allot, I found Gary to be very funny, making sure we were 100% enjoying ourselves and making sure we all understood what he was telling us.  We discussed what makes us nervous and how to go about calming the pre-comp nerves, how distractions affect our performances and how goal setting is so important to the success of each individual rider. I found the talk very beneficial and would recommend Gary to help any rider at any level. He is a very nice guy and makes anyone feel like they can become an achiever. Thanks Gary. "

Robbie Soster - Member of the 2009 Youth Olympic Dressage Team and NSW State Dressage Youth Squad)

I then attended a “Adult Educator” course conducted by the dressage judges committee for “A” and “B” level judges.

I have to say the last thing I wanted to do on Sunday morning was to attend another forum and was considering pulling out at the last moment.

I knew there had been a waiting list and someone else would have been deprived of an opportunity to attend so off I trundled.

You know what they say that the things you are not looking forward to always turn out for the best. I could not have envisaged such a fantastic day.

Gary Lung was exceptional and working with all of the Queensland senior judges for the day built a rapport that is difficult to develop when we are judging.
